Arrow is a camera app that saves photos to a local library inside the app on your iPhone. Arrow keeps photos inside the app unless you choose to share or export them.
Photos: Photos captured in Arrow are stored locally on your device in Arrow's app storage. We do not upload photo content from your library or Arrow library to our servers.
Location data: Location is optional. If you turn on Save Location, Arrow requests permission to use your location while you use the app and stores available coordinates with new photos captured in Arrow. Existing photos are not changed. Arrow may use Apple's location services to turn saved coordinates into a place label. During normal capture, this information stays with the photo in Arrow's local library. Image copies prepared by Arrow for sharing or export are sanitized so embedded GPS metadata is not included by default.
Support and feedback: Arrow includes an optional feedback form. You can choose to send feedback text or a voice note and, if you want a reply, an email address. If location tagging is already enabled and a recent location is available, the form tells you that location context may be included with your submission. Photo content is never attached. Contact Support can also open our support page or your email app.
Analytics: We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage events (such as feature usage, session counts, and onboarding completion). This helps us improve the app. Analytics events do not include photo content, filenames, location coordinates, feedback text, voice notes, or email addresses.
Crash reports: We use Sentry to collect crash reports and performance data. These contain technical diagnostic information (device model, OS version, stack traces) but no photo content.
Camera: Required to capture photos. This is the core function of the app.
Photo Library: This launch does not request Photo Library permission.
Location: Optional. Arrow requests access only when you choose to enable Save Location. You can use the camera without it and revoke access in iOS Settings.
Microphone: Optional. Used only when you choose to record a voice note in the feedback form.
PostHog (analytics): Receives anonymous event data. PostHog privacy policy.
Sentry (crash reporting): Receives technical crash data. Sentry privacy policy.
Apple location services (optional app functionality): When Save Location is enabled, iOS provides location and Apple's platform services may resolve coordinates into a place label.
Supabase (optional feedback submission): Receives only the feedback text or voice note you choose to send, an optional reply email, technical app/device context, and any recent location context disclosed by the form. Supabase privacy policy.
We do not use advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or data brokers.
We do not sell, trade, or broker your data. Data that can leave your device is limited to anonymous analytics, crash reports, optional feedback you choose to submit, Apple platform services used for an optional place label, and photos or outputs you deliberately share or export.
Arrow gives you the following controls over locally stored photos and submitted data:
Arrow is not directed to children under 13. The same local-photo storage, optional permission, and optional feedback-submission rules described in this policy apply to every user.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
